Abstract : Net blotch (Pyrenophora teres), scald (Rhynchosporium secalis) and barley stripe (Pyrenophora graminea) are important leaf diseases of barley in Turkey. Crop loss assessments from these diseases are estimated at between 5 and 50%. Puccinia spp. and R. secalis are the most destructive diseases. They occur on barley plants almost every year, but their intensity varies from year to year.
