Results revealed that replacement of 50 or 100% lucerne hay with BFR did not affect the growth performance, viability of the rabbits, while WHFR or SBP significantly decreased (P<0.01) daily weight gain, daily feed consumption, viability, growth performance index and economic efficiency but increased the feed conversion ratio (P<0.01) than the control. BFR replacement did not affect the digestibility coefficients while WHFR and SBP decreased the coefficients. TDN, DCP, ME and N balance decreased significantly (P<0.01 or 0.05) by 7.6, 8.1, 7.3 and 15.8%, respectively, for 100% WHFR and by 8.3, 13.9, 7.9 and 21.4%, respectively, for 100% SBP as compared to the control. WHFR or SBP decreased significantly (P<0.01 or 0.05) the hot and cold carcass weights and dressing percentage than the control, while BFR did not affect the slaughter yield.
