    Abstract : This review focuses on the early detection, prevention, treatment of the complications of liver cirrhosis. The clinician must be aware of the pathologic presentations and the appropriate management, including pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic therapies, goals and end points of therapy, and monitoring of therapy.
