Such a procedure yielded trimethylolpropane-poly(ricinoleic acid) polymers with an average molecular weight from 2000 to 5000 Da with PDI between 1.3 and 1.9, according to GPC analysis and the structure of the polymer were characterized by FT-IR, which could be satisfied for lubricant materials.
